The River

• The stillness of the river
The floating of the waves
The calm settling asunder of the lights glistening from the dense bridge guarding their existence of humanity

Above the shadows brought might
The Choo Choo brings song
The TENNESSEE pride of the water lives on

The Speed boat passes by disrupting no harm

The pelican lingers not dismantled on the broad and abandoned island across the bay

The Carousel of Coolidge Park sings and creates a noise
While the cackle of people mistifies a natural symphony to orchestrate the beauty of the volunteer mantra

The damp air by the breeze kisses my cheek and whistles truth in my left ear

The midnight dawns and destines collide
While the beating of sleep casts a yawn tenderly upon my right eye

I remember this instance of this chattanooga day

To reflect again on a better day
The youth of our past will always bring joy to our present

When we allow the good to tenderly create happiness in our own human worldly existence
